[ENSLAVEMENT]. 1853 will of Green Mitchell bequeathing 29 enslaved persons to family. Decatur, GA.

Manuscript will and testament of Green Mitchell of Decatur County, GA, in which he wills and bequeaths identified enslaved peoples to his five grandchildren. Additionally, Mitchell's "entire plantation containing one thousand and fifty acres" and 14 identified enslaved peoples are bequeathed to his son William.
